A set of 4 nested figures. The outer figure is made in the form of a decorated Christmas tree, and inside usually hide winter holiday characters such as Ded Moroz (Father Frost) and Snegurochka (Snow Maiden). Material: Traditionally made of wood, most often linden.
Technique: Hand carving and painting, sometimes with the use of golden glitter to imitate garlands.
Production: Similar souvenirs are created in famous centers of Russian folk crafts, for example, at the "Semyonovskaya Painting" factory in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
