 Lupenmalerei Portrait of Countess Rosenau (Gräfin Rosenau). This is a copy of the work by court painter Joseph Stieler from the famous “Gallery of Beauties” of King Ludwig I of Bavaria.

Frame: Made from a mammoth tusk, approximately 10,000 years old, with a handmade bronze trim.

Painting: Executed in the “Lupen-Malerei” (magnifying glass painting) technique — a hand-painted miniature watercolor on a mammoth tusk plate.

Origin: The mammoth tusk was found in Yakutia (Siberia) on the coast of the Arctic Ocean.

Manufacturer: Haffke Kunsthandwerk — a family business founded in 1909 in Dresden (now located in Altötting).
