Antique Limoges Porcelain Plates "Spring" and "Putti"

Antique decorative porcelain plates, designed in a classical style with reproductions of works by the famous French Rococo artist François Boucher (1703–1770). 

One plate depicts the scene "Spring" (La Primavera). These romantic motifs, often referred to as "gallant scenes," were extremely popular in European porcelain.

The other plate features a classical scene with putti (cherubs).

Material: White porcelain with rich gilding along the rim.

Manufacturer: Limoges, France 

Decoration:  Hand-painted. The plates are adorned with a wide gold rim featuring an engraved or printed floral ornament (flat engraving or 24-karat gold etching technique).
