Fragonard is the name of a design style frequently used on porcelain services, including the so-called "Madonna" service.
Gilding: The pieces are richly decorated with gold, including the handles, rims, and interiors of the cups, as well as the patterns on the exterior. A true gem. The porcelain is handmade and decorated with 22-karat gold and baroque painting, giving the service a luxurious appearance. The piece is hallmarked "Veritable Porcelaine" (French for "genuine porcelain") and "Made in Italy." Vintage, from the 1960s.
